VAT rates : a lot of changes coming up
In response to Directive (EU) 2022/542, which allows Member States a degree of flexibility in setting VAT rates, some countries will be making changes to their standard VAT rates.
In this evolving article, we keep you informed of all these changes.
Update 14/11/24
Finland has already changed its rate from 24% to 25.5% on 1 September 2024.
Slovakia has announced a change for 1 January 2025: an increase in the standard VAT rate from 20% to 23%.
Estonia, which has already increased its rate between 2023 and 2024, plans to do so again in July 2025. It could rise from 22% to 24%.
