Poland has announced a temporal reduction of the VAT rates on some categories of goods from 01.02.22 to 31.07.22, in order to reduce the inflation effect.
The reductions affect the VAT on electricity to 5% and the VAT on natural gas to 0%.
The following goods are also affected:
- Diesel and motor fuels will be decreased from 23% to 8%, from January 1st to July 31st 2022, which will be very interesting to our transport environment.
- All the food in items 1-18 of appendix 10 of the VAT law (Dairy products, vegetables, cereals, bakery, fish and some beverages for example) will be decreased from 5% VAT to 0% VAT.
- Some agricultural products (pesticides, potting soil fertilizers…) will be decreased from 8% to 0%
